Holistic Approach

I put this blog onto my Facebook Photography Group the other day and got such a great wealth of information coming back. It's wonderful to see a topic that raises such passions and loyalties. People have all manner of diets and regimes that work for them and are delighted to advocate. It's brilliant to read. That's all I can offer. Something I've found that seems to be working for me and share the adventure.

One thing that was consistent across the messages was that diet in isolation will not be a solution. You've got to look at so many other areas of your life alongside.

That's why it was so good on Monday to take a group of photographers around my home village and show them better techniques for taking pictures. We walked five miles in the blazing sun. We sweated, we breathed hard on the hills, we took pictures, we shared information, we learned from each other, we laughed and at the end we sat down with a drink in the pub and toasted a good day with good people.

That pint of lager was just short of my daily allowance of bad stuff (or Syns in SW parlance). No pint ever tasted better.

So is there a moral to the story? If there is then I guess it's diet by all means, but don't let it be your life. Get out, exercise, live a life doing things that excite and stimulate it. If you're doing all of that, along with losing weight, then you're going to look and feel better.

Looking forward to a Steak Dinner tonight, will post details tomorrow. Have a happy and healthy day you lovely people and if you want to join the next PhotoFitness walk then just ask for details.
